1. Authorization and Estimates

Authorization & Testing: By commissioning repairs, you authorize Howard Motors LLC to preform the specified work and use necessary materials. You grant our technicians express permission to operate the vehicle on the public roads for diagnostics, testing, and verification of repairs. Howard Motors LLC is not liable for mechanical failures that occur during normal testing due to per-existing wear or vehicle mileage and age.

Work Authorization: By signing the Work Order and/or booking online, the Customer authorizes the Howard Motors LLC to perform the described repairs and maintenance, including the installation of necessary parts and materials.

Estimates: Any estimate provided is an approximation of costs. If the Howard Motors LLC discovers that additional repairs are required or costs will exceed the estimate by more than 10% (or local legal limit), the Shop will seek Customer approval (written or verbal) before proceeding.

Teardown Fees: If a diagnostic "teardown" is required to provide an estimate, the Customer agrees to pay the labor costs associated with the teardown and reassembly, even if the repair is not authorized.
2. Payment and Mechanic's Liens

Terms of Payment: Payment in full is due upon completion of work and prior to the vehicle being released. We accept [Cash, Credit Cards, Debit]. We do not accept personal checks unless pre-approved.

Mechanic’s Lien: Pursuant to state/local law, Howard Motors LLC acknowledges a possessory/mechanics lien on the vehicle to secure payment for repairs, storage, and maintenance. Howard Motors LLC reserves the right to retain the vehicle until all charges are paid in full, No vehicle will be released with out full payment via Cash, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, Credit card (online service fees may apply).

Unpaid Balances: Any unpaid balances after 30 days may be subject to interest at a rate of 1.5% per month.
3. Parts and Materials

Type of Parts: Howard Motors LLC may use new, re-manufactured, or used parts at its discretion, unless specifically requested otherwise by the Customer.

Customer-Supplied Parts: The Shop is not responsible for the fitment, quality, or failure of parts supplied by the Customer. Labor for installing customer-supplied parts is not warranted.
4. Storage and Abandoned Vehicles

Completion Notification: Howard Motors LLC will notify the Customer when the vehicle is ready for pickup.

Storage Fees: Vehicles left on the Shop premises for more than 2 business days after notification of completion will be subject to a storage fee of $30.00 per day.

Abandoned Vehicles: Vehicles left for more than 30 days without payment or communication may be considered abandoned and disposed of or sold in accordance with local lien laws.
5. Limited Warranty

Scope: Howard Motors LLC warrants that repairs will be free from defects in workmanship for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Exclusions: This warranty does not cover:

Normal wear and tear.
-
Damage caused by abuse, neglect, or off-road use.

Repairs performed by other shops after the vehicle leaves this facility.

Commercial or racing applications.

If Customer-supplied part is defective, incorrect, or fails, the customer is responsible for the full labor cost of the initial install and any subsequent removal/re-installation, and/or damages from supplied parts. We provide no warranty on labor or parts when the customer provides their own parts/components.

6. Liability and Risk of Loss

Personal Property: Howard Motors LLC is not responsible for loss or damage to any personal items left inside the vehicle (e.g., electronics, tools, sunglasses). Customers are advised to remove valuables before drop-off.

Incidental Damage: Howard Motors LLC is not liable for loss of use, loss of time, or incidental damages (such as towing or rental car costs) resulting from a repair delay or part failure.

Test Driving: The Customer grants Howard Motors LLC technician(s) permission to operate the vehicle on public streets for the purposes of testing, inspection, and delivery.
7. Environmental and Shop Fees

A "Shop Supplies" fee may be applied to the invoice to cover the cost of hazardous waste disposal, rags, cleaners, and specialized lubricants used during the repair process.
8. Refund Policy

Labor: Labor charges are non-refundable.

Parts: Refunds on new parts are subject to the manufactures and parts suppliers return policy and/or a 12% restocking fee. Electrical and special-order parts are sold "as-is" and are non-refundable.
